Helping young people build strong foundations & resilience through movement, connection, and trust.

Our Approach – What ROOTS Offer:

ROOTS is a strengths-based support offer for children and young people that blends movement, trust-building, and peer connection.

We support children and young people to:

  • Strengthen emotional awareness

  • Build meaningful relationships

  • Explore their strengths and sense of purpose

Our work is rooted in:

  • Movement-Based Practice

  • Trusted Adult Relationships

  • Peer Connection & Youth-Led Reflection

Helping children re-engage

Many young people face disconnection, low self-worth, and limited access to early relational support.

Professionals often struggle to engage them before concerns escalate into risk, harm, or exploitation, or lead to permanent exclusion from school.

ROOTS exists to intervene earlier — using movement, trusted relationships, and reflective spaces to help young people thrive before crisis hits.

Evidence and experienced based practice

Movement matters: Improves mood, regulation, and focus (serotonin, dopamine, sleep)

Group work: Builds belonging, empathy, and resilience; strengthens peer relationships

Trusted adults: Children with consistent adult support show better long-term mental health and social outcomes

"Children exposed to adversity were 5–7x more likely to thrive if they had a trusted adult in their lives." (BMC Psychology, 2021)

Our Impact: ROOTS supports:

Young People: Confidence, connection, emotional awareness

Schools: Increased engagement, safer environments, early intervention

Systems: Reduced escalation to statutory services; stronger community resilience

We help grow: Trust — Strength — Connection — Belief — Identity.
